I am a local self taught artist in rural Mid-Devon and have been here for 16 years. In that time I have approached a completely different way of life to my life in the city. “Art” was born soon after moving here, taking inspiration from everything around me in the form of Gelli plate printing, mixed media and digital art. It is truly wonderful living so close to Exmoor and it never ceases to amaze me the views and wildlife I see when visiting. I am inspired by nature and use leaves, feathers and all things around me to create textures for my artwork. Some of my works are digitally enhanced and I also use overlays to create shapes.

Since my early retirement from West Sussex Fire Brigade and moving to Devon, I have had the opportunity to improve and develop my interest in Woodwork and the use of reclaimed timber to make bespoke items of rustic furniture and other small items that interest me such as lamps, clocks, doorstops, boot jacks and many other items. I mainly work with Oak and Pine and wherever possible I will use reclaimed timber
